Santa '07 Association plans to prioritize secondary education for Adisadel College (Adisco) students by awarding scholarship funds to eligible continuing students every year. The number of awards and the amount granted will be determined by the Association. Each applicant is eligible to receive up to two scholarship awards during their high school career. This year, three Adisco students will be selected to receive GHC 2,000 each.

Procedure

 

A general call for applications will go out to all members with a brief application form each February. The Santa’ 07 Scholarship Committee will administer the application and selection process. The committee will acknowledge all submissions and notify applicants of the decision. The award winners will be announced to the Santa’07 members by the end of August. Disbursement of funds will be made by the end of September to selected students, and recipients will be invited to the second biannual meeting event to be celebrated.

An acceptance to Adisadel College and being a student in good standing is required.

Selection process (Guidelines)

• Application is a letter to the Scholarship Committee that details:

  • The individual’s goals

  • Describe any academic or non-academic (sports and other unique achievements)

  • General statement of need.

• Phone number of a referee (Adisco school teacher, former teachers, guidance counselor, clergy, principal/vice principal).

Submission and Selection Calendar

• February 1st – Call goes out to Santa’07 membership and other affiliated organizations.

• June 30 – Deadline for submission (submission via Santa’07 Website: www.santa2g7.com/scholarship)

• August – Committee reviews applications. Applicants notified of the selections and award by end of August.
